Severe Weather Awareness Week in Texas is February 19-25

The National Weather Service will be conducting a Tornado Drill on February 22 at 10 am.

The City of Alice Emergency Management Office will sound the cities outdoor warning sirens at 10 AM for this drill. This will be a siren sound for three minutes of a wavering tone.

DROUGHT CONTINGENCY PLAN STAGE 3 IMPLEMENTED

The City of Alice continues to implement Stage 3 of the recently revised and approved Drought Contingency Plan due to the drop in the Lake Corpus Christi reservoir storage, placing the current capacity at 31.50%. (as of February 17, 2012)

The Plan requires the City Manager to initiate city-wide community awareness and encourage residents to adhere to Stage 3 restrictions.
