Friends of the Jim Wells County Libraries

The Friends of the Jim Wells County Libraries were established in 1985 and provide funds for books and special programs. Through their book sale and item sale, they have funded the Lease Book Program, special programs for the Children’s Department, including furniture and sponsoring authors and presenters for the Summer Reading Program. They have also provided computers and a reader printer.

The Friends of Alice Public Library:
  • Provide many hours of volunteer services
  • Support library causes
  • Promote public awareness and community involvement in library activities
